Time: 7:00 P.M.
Minutes
Approval of October minutes; Guy Sternberg made motion; Candy Knox seconded motion; motion carried voice vote (MCVV).

Fitness Trail
Ben thanked Representative Brauer for the fitness equipment grant. Candy said a barrier and rubber chips would be good to have around each station. She believes there may be enough rubber chips left over from another project to complete all stations.
Petersburg to New Salem Trail
Kent M reviewed the October 28th meeting:
- Revisited the trail concept with the new members of the Menard County Board
- Jim introduced the organization
-Walt reviewed MCT&G accomplishments
-Kent proposed the three areas we needed help with from the county
-We need to approach the concept from a county wide basis not just a Petersburg point of view
-The plan is to get the County behind us first and then use that as an incentive to get Grand Oaks, Lake Petersburg, and individual property owners on board
Fall Foliage Float
-over 100 participants
-$169.00 in donations, $461.84 in expenses, for a total of $292.84 loss.
-Illinois Paddlers’ Association was really impressed with the event (they held there event on the Sangamon the day before the FFF)
-Although we lost $292.84 this year, the IL Paddlers’ Association brought credibility to our float and our area. In last three years the FFF brought in $859.00, $306.13, and $281.33 for MCT&G projects.
-Motion by Guy Sternberg to pay the bill, Candy seconded, MCVV.
Phil Wood “All Crafts Race”
-Wants Sangamon River “All Crafts Race” (ACR) in 2009
-American Canoe Association sanctioned race to take place the same day for a longer distance than the ACR
-ACA liability insurance will cover the ACR as well as the canoe race
-The ACA race has permission to begin the race in Springfield (25-27 mile race)
-Dale Milstead is on board for letting the ACR begin at Gudgel access (5-7 mile race)
-Both will start/end early
-Expecting 300-500 participants
-Party is planned to take place on or near the square in Petersburg
-Motion by Guy Sternberg amended and seconded by Kent Massie to conditionally approve MCT&G to act as a pass through organization for the ACR and ACA race event as long as the following three criteria are met:
*MCT&G 501c3 status is preserved
*If there is a profit it doesn’t affect the above or loss MCT&G is not responsible
*No alcohol permitted on the river
Amendment: Candy Knox shall be the liaison between MCT&G and Phil Wood for the ACR.
