The
Sangamon
Paddlers is a newly formed organization
of like minded individuals who are focused on the
conservation and preservation of our local Central
Illinois water resources, the education of our
fellow canoe and kayak enthusiasts and prospective
enthusiasts and the enjoyment of the wonderful
sport of paddling.
The Sangamon Paddlers frequent the Sangamon River , the bodies
of water at the Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Park , the waterways
surrounding Lake Springfield as well as the Sanganois State Fish
and Wildlife Area to name just a few.
We are excited to participate in upcoming outings with other
paddling organizations around the state as well as share the
events that we have scheduled with members from other groups.
